Jaw Crusher PE250*400 Introduction
Jaw crushers are used in many industries, most commonly in quarrying, mining, construction and recycling. They are typically used as primary crushers to crush run of mine or blasted rock to fractions small enough for secondary crushing. Jaw crushers consist of a set of vertical, V-shaped jaws. One of the jaws is fixed and the other moves backward and forward. At the top, the jaws are further apart and they are tapered down towards the bottom. As the rock falls downwards it is crushed progressively smaller by compression until it is small enough to fall through the bottom of the crusher. A typical crushing circuit at a mine may consist of a jaw crusher followed by a secondary cone crusher, followed by a tertiary cone crusher and then feeding a MXB mill or ball mill.
